Adele's Skyfall theme has already been honoured at the Golden Globes
Adele is to perform the James Bond theme song Skyfall at next month's Oscars ceremony.
Producers of the star-studded show confirmed the singer's involvement and said it would be Adele's first time performing the song live on stage.
The track, which is nominated for best Original Song, picked up a Golden Globe earlier this month.
In a statement, Adele said she was excited - but nervous - about the high-profile gig.
"It's an honour to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again," the 24-year-old said.
"It's something I've never experienced and probably only ever will once!"
The song, which accompanies the 23rd Bond movie, was written by Adele and producer Paul Epworth.
The performance will mark the first time Adele has appeared live on US television since her triumphant night at last year's Grammys, where she collected six awards.
The London-born star has been a massive success in America.
Despite keeping keeping a low profile during her recent pregnancy, her album 21 has sold more than 10 million copies stateside - topping sales charts for two years in a row.
